Amy B. Bennett - Marketing Director
Connie Sloan-Cathcart is the Executive Director of United Way of Laramie County . She represents the organization to the community, supports the Board of Directors and ensures our goals are met. She graduated from Slippery Rock State College in Pennsylvania. Connie has served on both the Cheyenne Kiwanis Board and Foundation Board. She serves on the Cheyenne Transit Public Transit Advisory Board. She reviews grants for the Division of Victim's Services and is Vice-Chair on the Wyoming Association of Nonprofit Organizations. Connie participated in the Human Services section of Vision 2020 and recently joined a committee of Plan Cheyenne. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Pete, her dogs and her garden.
Deborah Phillips is the Office Manager/Bookkeeper for United Way of Laramie County. Deborah moved to Cheyenne from Montana in 2003, where she worked in the banking industry and for state government. She attended Laramie County Community College where she received her Associates Accounting degree and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Deborah and her husband, Terry, have three children and six grandchildren who are scattered from Ohio to California. They like to spend their leisure time sail boating, bicycling, exploring Wyoming, and traveling to visit their grandbabies.
Sarah Napier is the Office Assistant for United Way of Laramie County. She answers the phones, performs data entry, and helps with generally anything that needs to be done around the office. She graduated from Baker College in Jackson, Michigan with a Certificate in Small Business Management/Entrepreneurship. Sarah has a one-year old son named Colten. She enjoys photography, astronomy, hiking, and spending time with those she loves.
Rod Hottle is the Community Programs Coordinator for United Way of Laramie County. As such, he is responsible for assisting the Executive Director in the staff support of United Way of Laramie County’s community impact operations to include Fund Distribution, Outcome Measurement, community initiatives, partnerships and ongoing community associations. Rod retired from the United States Air Force after a 26 year career in 2003. He graduated from Virginia Military Institute in May 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and a commission in the United States Air Force. Rod also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He is married to Deb and they have two children.
Amy B. Bennett is the Marketing Director for the United Way of Laramie County. She is responsible for fostering relationships with local media to help education the public about the programs, events and fundraising opportunities available and associated with the local United Way and our program partners. She also takes care of designing campaign materials, working with volunteers and local program partners. She has an Associate Degree in Mass Media from Laramie County Community College. Amy has more than ten years experience in publishing, advertising, for a variety of newspapers, publications and promotions. Amy has also worked with Chambers of Commerce in Cheyenne and northeast Colorado, and is been involved with many other volunteer and media organizations. She has two teenager daughters, and recently became engaged.
